The 11th of August.

Today is my Grandma's 90th birthday. She's in heaven now. I miss her.

Also... five years ago today, I came back to the United States after spending 18 months living in Lithuania, serving a full-time mission for the LDS Church. And what a glorious 18 months it was...

All photos of Lithuania a la moi.

Your Grandma was a foxy lady. I am loving her glasses :) I love all your pictures of LT. I was talking to Karen today about some random thought I had from when we were on our missions...anyway, it made me miss all you girls. Love you!!!xoxo

Thanks for posting this lovely photo of Grandma. This photo was taken at the wedding of my sister-in-law, Nancy Taylor Jones, to Dan Jones in about 1973. I love to wear Grandma's Majorca pearl pin of grapes. Pearl Dean (of "Pearl Dean's Ice Cream" fame) gave it to Grandma as a thank you gift for having her daughter, Kathy Dean Checchi, live with us for about six months in 1968, so she could finish her senior year in high school after Joe and Pearl moved to Madrid. I try to wear that lovely pin to all important family occasions. I really miss Grandma, too. Every day.
